Your first visit

Everything you need to know before your first appointment: how it works, what to wear and bring, how long it takes and what happens afterwards.

Three steps, no surprises

Nothing is treated until you have agreed to the plan.

  1. Book online or by phone

Choose a time that suits you. If you are in pain after a recent injury, tell us and we will offer the earliest slot.

  2. Assessment

We ask about your pain, your goals and your daily routine, then test how you move. It takes about 50 minutes.

  3. Your written plan

You leave with the number of sessions, the exercises to start at home and the total cost. You decide what happens next.

Before and after your appointment

What to wear

Comfortable clothes you can move in. If the problem is in your knee, ankle or hip, bring shorts. For shoulder or neck problems, a vest or loose top works best.

What to bring

  • Photo ID and your insurance card

  • Any referral letter, scans or surgical notes

  • A list of the medicines you take

  • Glasses or hearing aids, if you use them

  • Sports shoes, if the problem affects walking or running

How long it takes

Plan for about 60 minutes: 50 minutes with your physiotherapist and a few minutes to check in. Follow-up sessions last 45 to 60 minutes, depending on the treatment.

What happens next

You leave with a written plan: how many sessions we recommend, the exercises to start at home and the total cost. You decide whether to continue. We only send a summary to your doctor if you ask us to.

Nervous about your first visit?

That is completely normal, and you are not alone. You can bring a friend or family member into the room with you.

You can ask us to slow down, stop or skip any test at any time. Nothing is treated until you agree to it.

If you would like to see the treatment room or meet your physiotherapist first, call us and we will arrange a short visit at no cost.
